Altered, crushed, distorted—the process of Constant Decay melts matter into noise and textures from which percussive, driving tracks emerge. This new release by Eƨƨe Ran pursues the artist’s explorations and reaffirms a style in which sound becomes palpable, as if subtracted directly from the ground. Sculptural, the act of composing chisels at the material to reveal angular structures. Eventually, the cycle ends. Rotted, sound returns to dust.

“I made this EP with, in mind, the very transformative virtue of nature. Transformation is at the core of my creative process, both technically and formally. I create my sound from scratch using mainly hardware, therefore transforming signal into sound. I then assemble and process this unique material to build up tracks. Repeatedly resampled and mangled, what once was an electronic flux gradually mutated and materialized into Constant Decay” – Eƨƨe Ran
